Took a day trip to the Getty this past weekend and tried to take some photos. I seem to remember being able to take pictures inside the galleries… not the case anymore. Although I haven’t been for 2 years so things probably changed. Either that or I took pictures when I wasn’t supposed to HAHA.

This day was especially beautiful outside, 80 deg and a cool breeze, Aloe Blacc was djing from 6-10 for an event called “The Exit”. Around 7pm my friend and I came out of the gallery to more fog than I’ve ever seen on the west side. If it wasn’t for the fog I would have definitely stayed for the music.

After the Getty we shot over to The Corner Place Korean BBQ and stuffed ourselves sleepy. Some REALLY good cabbage soup and for 2 people not too pricey.

THE HIVE – Sept Edition

The Hive Gallery in LA (729 South Spring St. , Los Angeles) is home to a wide range of Artists with as many different styles and visions as there are flavors of ice cream. oooh, ICE CREAM sounds good right now! With the differences among them all, fluid presentation is very much a part of the Hive. Living together collectively and working in the same environment as one.

The first Saturday of each month is the opening night for each new show, the first Saturday before LA’s Artwalk (first Thursday usually but check the net for dates). ¬†This past week I went with Resident Randy Kono to get a peak of the show before the artwalk. Here are some images…. Very talented individuals indeed.
